Herman Miller names American Office designer, Jessica Gambill, the 2019 Dealer Designer of the Year
Herman Miller today recognized designer Jessica Gambill of American Office as the winner of the 2019 Herman Miller Dealer Designer of the Year Award. This is the third year Herman Miller has presented the award, which celebrates individuals who exemplify interior design excellence. Nominated by a colleague or peer, the award recognizes superior talent, performance, and the critical role design plays in the success of a dealership.
“Jessica is a testament to the qualities of an excellent Dealer Designer. She has been instrumental in the success of all of her projects,” shares Serge Socolar, Director of Design, American Office. “Her dedication to successful solutions in design, positive attitude, excellent communication skills, high level of product and application knowledge, accuracy, ability to organize and prioritize her design work, and ability to work well in a team demonstrates these qualities.”
Recognition of outstanding dealer performance is typically correlated to sales volume with acclaim and accolades directed to top performing salespeople within the organization. And while it is acknowledged that sales is the leading indicator of financial success at a dealership, an often-overlooked contributor to the selling process is the dealer designer.
